integrated logistic support (ILS) programs to ensure the operational
readiness of the prime mission equipment. Required test equipment,
special tools, manuals, training and field support are essential for
system maintenance and repair efforts.
ROI’s ILS programs use a maintenance planning process to tailor the
correct maintenance criteria at each level of maintenance. Once
the maintenance planning criteria have been defined, the plan
is developed. Maintenance planning includes the development of the
maintenance concept, defining requirements, determining repair level, identifying test/support equipment, and ensuring that an
adequate supply of spares and repair parts are provided to support the
system at each maintenance level. ROI develops maintenance plans that
include scheduled maintenance requirements, unscheduled maintenance
requirements, test/support equipment, technical documentation, training,
technical support, spares and spares support.
